There are probably millions of theories about lesbians. My theory is that lesbianism has very little to do with sexual orientation. Instead, lesbianism is a higher state of consciousness. Any woman can reach this state once she sees the world for what it is. If you read with open eyes the statistics on rape, domestic violence, war, sexual slavery trafficking, colonialism, Imperialism, expansionism, murder, etc.-- you will realize that heterosexuality is not healthy for women and men are, in fact, a threat to women's very lives. Once a woman realizes that even the notion of "sexual orientation" is tied to this false assumption that our bodies have some innate orientation, she is free to choose lesbianism for personal satisfaction and happiness and for its political power to resist the hegemonic male/heterosexual regime of breeding, abusing, and killing.
