Everyone has SOME cholesterol, even if they're a newborn baby.
But there are some people who have very high cholesterol and have to take prescription medication prescribed by their doctor to help lower it.
Cholesterol does not make you feel sick, so it would be hard to tell without a blood test, but cholesterol build-ups just inside your skin could cause bumps to appear on your tendons on your hands and/or feet.
Unless you have a blood test there is almost no way to tell that you have high cholesterol, so if you're worried, you should go to the doctor and ask him/her to perform a full check up where he/she will perform a blood test as well, depending on who your doctor is.
