In Islam, sin is a sin. There is no minor and major sins. Only Allah (or God and same God in Christianity and Judaism) who decide if it is a minor sin to be forgiven or not. However, for example:
- if you break your swear, you are licensed to either feed or provide cloth to 10 poor people or if you can't afford it you have to fasten for three days.
- if you killed a person by mistake, you have to pay a lump sum for his/her concerned people or if you can't afford it you have to fasten the days of two consecutive month.
