* It is more expensive than treating dammed river water. * Many people are squeamish about drinking recycled water, so education campaigns will probably be necessary. * If the people refuse to accept recycled water then it is very expensive to set up a dual system of Plumbing in every house with recycled water used for flushing and gardening, and "fresh" water for drinking and bathing.
