i dont know the causes but....the effects are it kills people, tears down buildings and stuff
ANSWER:
Most tornadoes form along a front (boundary) between cool, dry air from the north and warm, humid air from the Gulf of Mexico. A narrow zone of cumulonimbus (thunderstorm) clouds develops along such a front. This zone of clouds, called a squall line, produces violent weather.
The violent weather produced by the squall line results when a mass of warm, humid air rises extremely rapidly. As the air rises, more warm air rushes in to replace it. The in-rushing air also rises and, forms into a tornado.
As for a tornadoes effects. It depends on the tornado. Some may fly over and do no or very little damage at all. However, the majority of tornadoes can destroy everything in its path.
Examples would include: uprooting trees; tearing mobile homes to shred's; splitting homes, schools, churches and other buildings into large piles of garbage. In some rural areas, a tornado can wipe out an entire town.
