Communism in China has its beginnings in the May Fourth Movement. Inspired by the October Revolution in Russia, Chinese intellectuals such as Li Dazhao started to turn to communism. The Communist Party of China was founded in July 1921. The CPC supported the KMT government based in Wuhan until it decided to expel all communists from the KMT party. Then, the CPC founded the Red Army, which consisted of Chinese workers and peasants. Through the Chinese Civil War and World War II, the CPC became stronger and better organized eventually outlasting other parties and gaining the upper hand in popularity against the very unpopular KMT. In October 1949, CPC leader Mao Zedong established the PRC (the PeopleÕs Republic of China).

There were several reasons China chose Communism. First of all, the Nationalist government had been very corrupt, and the Chinese Communist Party continued to build grass roots support during the civil war that ensued after World War II. Second, with the defeat of the Axis, Stalin occupied Manchuria until he could pass it over to the Communist forces. Years of distrust between the opposing sides in the war, meant a coalition government would be impossible, therefore after several decisive battles, the Communists won control of China.

because before the states was founded Britain laid siege in china because they were destroying British products, Britain won the war and china at that time was considered weak, this was around late 1700's early 1800's and china lived under British rule for years after Britain let them be free again China needed to progress and needed help, they saw Russia and Korea (before communism) and they helped china. After they allied. When Russia becamea communism country (at the time when they helped china they were capitalist's) Russia was communist country again and China followed them, States weren't to fond of China also because they were always taught China was weak

Your premise is slanted. China did not belong to the United States. It was not up to the US to allow it or prevent it.
