Yes, Bullying is bad.

Frankly the only good thing that bullying does is to make the bully feel powerful. This is not truly so as the bully picks on someone who is weaker either emotionally, physically or otherwise. This is how the bully gains his strength and most times the bully himself turns out to be a weakling who invents this abusive character to hide his own faults.

The fact is that most studies have proven that bullies are indeed in need of this controlling power as many have serious problems in their social skills and as such most of these problems manifest through this behaviour. Many have problems with self image and by demeaning others they exalt themselves to a level of great importance. The greatest con of all of these cons is that the bully fails to see these signs and most if not all carry on these behaviours if left untreated into adulthood.

ANOTHER ANSWER

Bullying is for the most part bad. It can cause physical and emotional harm to the bully's victims, and can have lasting effects throughout the victims life as well.

However, one may argue that there are pros to being bullied as well. For one, some victims will learn how to stand up for themselves and deal with bullies. There are all kinds of bullies, even into adulthood. Those victims who learned to deal with it as a child will be much better off when they face the real world.

I think the only pro to bullying is it may give you the courage in life and understanding it... :P

ANOTHER ANSWER:

I think that bullying is wrong and sick. But, there are also cons AND pros to it. Pros: Makes bully feel powerful

Victims will learn how to stand up for themselves

Victims learn how to deal with bullys.

Everything.

You can hurt some physically and emotionally by bullying them and sometimes it can lead to suicide. You can be put in jail and worse if you bully someone. In Japan an 11 year old girl killed another 12 year old because of the nasty comments that the twelve year old had put on the internet about her. This is disgusting and in taking revenge at the bully the girl became a bully/murderer herself. Some people say that when people are bullied they learn to stick up for themselves but what about pacifists and calm people who don't like to take action?

If the person that you were bullying commited suicide it would hurt you as well.

For one thing I can't imagine why anyone would ask what are the cons to bullying there are no pros unless you are sick and twisted.

There are no 'pros' to bullying. There is a difference between motivation techniques employed in (for instance) the armed services designed to toughen an individual or enhance their resilience, and the systematic degradation and humiliation of an individual for the sadistic pleasure of a damaged, socially-deficient bully.

Bullying damages people, destroys their self-confidence, and provides no benefit to anybody.
