A lot. I am Oriental ( and I used to live in different countries in Asia) and am now living in the West (America). Culture according to Oxford dictionary is artistic and intellectual achievement; customs and achievements of certain civilization. In lieu of this definition, I would like to answer your question with the differences that I have noticed in both cultures.
1. Filipino children are taught the use of "po" (yes) and "opo" (also means yes) when addressing the elderly people. They also use other addresses such as Kuya (brother) or Ate (sister) before saying the name such as Kuya Paul (for an older brother) or Ate Ruth (for older sister) . Americans do not have any of those addresses when calling somebody who is older than they are. They just call them their names regardless of whether they are older or not.
2. Filipinos are known for being hospitable. This means welcoming, courteous, friendly even if you are "new" in the neighborhood. You will feel as if you belong. They treat you as a part of their family.
3. Lots of food among Filipinos. Chinese (such as chopsuey - mixed vegetables) , Italian (such as spaghetti) , Indian (like chicken cooked in coconut milk) , American (Hamburgers) and lots of others can be seen everywhere. Filipinos like to eat. They have snacks in between meals not to include midnight snack which would mean a total of six eatings everyday. Americans do not eat as much as Filipinos do. And the funny thing is, Filipinos do not get too fat and obesity isn't a problem. Why? One, because they eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Two, they perspire a lot because of the climate. And it might also be in the genes.
4. Filipinos have Siesta - a time to take a nap.
5. Filipinos celebrate fiestas - festivities.
These are just some of the differences. If you need more information. You can talk with a Filipino in your community so you can see for yourself what's the difference between the two cultures. Aside from the fact that you'll also make more friends.

Additionally, traditional ceremonies, music, and dance play a significant role in African cultures, while Filipino culture is known for its strong focus on family and community values.
