Since your question only requests the disadvantages, they are as follows: Consumes alot of power, the resistance of shocks is low, data error rates are frequent, weight ratios are large, the size is large, can be hard to recover data from, (SCSI) controller cards may be required, loud mechanical noise can be generated, heat can be generated, there are moving parts inside, the disk sectors will eventually stop working, and they can be broken if dropped (usually whilst operating). The speed of the Hard drive speed (MBS) can regulate the data transfer rate of the computer. If the jumper settings are not precise the hard drive may become fried. If you have a hard drive which is older you may find it hard to find the hardware drivers for it. Also if you have a hard drive which is older it may cause data to be corrupted on your computer and you may lose your data because of faulty transfer to/from the disk platters.
Hard Disk Drive.
It is also known as Hard Drive, Disk Drive, Or Hard Disk Drive.
a hard drive is called "disque dur" in French.
* Hard disk drive * Hard drive * HDD
a hard drive is built into the computer whereas a hard disk is seperate
Hard disk drive.
"Festplattenlaufwerk" is a German equivalent of "hard disk drive" of computers.
"Harde schijf" is a Dutch equivalent of "hard disk drive."
Hard Drive Disk (HDD)
The hard disk drive platter is used to store magnetic data or information that comes from the hard disk drive, where they are stored. The hard disk drive can contain one or more hard disk platter.
A portable hard drive is both of the following:a hard disk drive that is small enough to carry (portable)a hard disk drive that is external to a computer
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A PERMANENT HARD DISK DRIVE AND A REMOVABLE HARD DISK DRIVE A permanent drive is in housed in the system while the removable one is externally fixed. Basically they perform the same functions.
