What are the ethics and beliefs of cynicism?
To become a TRUE cynic in the past, they had to live without material objects, and pleasure. They must be able to live in nature with no other materialistic surroundings. its hard to explain what they views were. They basically despised a lot of things. they thought pleasure was no acceptable. Pleasure means happiness as well as other things.
An ethics based on religious beliefs claims that right and wrong are determined by something supernatural or divine such as a god. As Plato argued, a problem with this view is that it seems to make right and wrong arbitrary. Must not the Divine have had a good reason to say that some acts are right and some acts are wrong? If the Divine did have such a good reason, then ethics is based on reason that is beyond the Divine; if the Divine did not have such a good reason, then ethics is arbitrary. .
Ethics-The principles of right and wrong that are accepted by an individual or a social group. At birth there is implanted into every soul the ethics of right and wrong. This is a blessing given by a kind and loving father in heaven. Cultural beliefs are those which in some cases go against that which we know to be wrong. It is at this point that the blessing given to us is either used wisely or ignored.
