The information for a 1993 Sable 3.8 is in the below cited "Related Question".

Definitely worth double-checking those specs - try Autozone's online Chilton's repair linked below.

Here's for a 2001 Windstar 3.8:

Torque Sequence

-----------------------

Frt | 7 3 1 5 |

Of | 8 4 2 6 |

Engine -----------------------

Step 1 - Torque to 14 ft/lbs

Steps 2 - Torque to 29 ft/lbs

Steps 3 - Torque to 36 ft/lbs

Perform following 3 steps on each bolt, before moving to next bolt in sequence

1) loosen 2-3 turns

2) if long bolt: Torque to 30-37 ft/lbs if short bolt: Torque to 15-22 ft/lbs

3) turn 175-185 degrees

Proceed to next bolt in sequence

Recheck final torque in sequence
the torque is the especific tighten that the bolts need in a specifical sequence: in a 3.8 lt. is executed as follow: step1- 15ft-lb. step2- 29ft-lb. step3- 37ft-lb. and step4 loos each bolt 2 turns and tighten until last torque specificated and very important is do that in the specific sequence .(do not loose all the bolts at the same time) intake maniful side 7 3 1 5 8 4 2 6 exhaust maniful side I hope this help you to see the sequence .
