I've used the nuva ring for about a year and I've been off it for about a month now. Some noticable side effects I am experiencing is having pregnancy like symptoms. Sore nipples/breast, headaches, fatigue, heartburn, nausea, sensitivity to certain odors, abdominal pain, late/missed period, and bleeding gums. I should have got my period this week but haven't yet, but occording to others experience I've read online some women are having the same side effects after stopping. It's pretty frustrating, because my husband and i wanted to start trying to have a baby and I've taken 3 pregnancy test because of the symptoms I was having, but they were all negative. But from reading others experiences of these same symptoms i feel better knowing i am not the only one who experienced these unfortunate symptoms.
I have had no physical side effects of quitting the nuva ring but my emotions are crazy!! I have felt extremely sad and anxious and confused(a lot of turmoil in my mind) The side effects are supposed to subside after 3 months of quitting any Birth Control...I can't wait to feel normal again.
I was three days late to put my ring in--two days later it must of come out- because I am pregnant!
After you take out Nuva Ring, you'll probably have your typical withdrawal bleeding. After that, your next period will probably arrive in 4-6 weeks, so it might be a little late, and you might have a bit of spotting that month. As ovulation returns, you might notice some ovulatory cramping and ovulatory cervical discharge, and you might notice that your periods are heavier than they were when on Nuva Ring.
There's a lot. Everything from headaches to cramps, also can cause blood clots which could lead to heart attacks and stroke.
Well, for the first few days or so, I experienced mood swings and irritability. I've read Horror stories of hair loss being caused by it, however nothing of the sort has happened to me. :)

No, not really, but Prolonged is sort of a word to use when someone has a dragging illness or something. Good question. Something that is longterm is permanent but something that is prolonged will go on for a while and eventually stop. EX: the longterm effects of smoking are____. The Prolonged illness went on for 3 years but then it was cured.
Sleepiness is indeed one of the possible side effects of NuvaRing. Others include headaches and cramps.
You insert NuvaRing in the vagina.
Alcoholic use effects the body in many ways. If used before age 21, it can cause certain brain abnormalities, and brain damage. Eventually, certain adverse consequences would begin, including, but not limited to: - Alcoholism (Addiction to Alcohol) - Liver disease - Cirrhosis - Sexual dysfunction - Heart disease - Increased risk of cancer - Increased risk of CNS Damage (Central Nervous System) with sustained use. These are only some of the physical effects that sustained, longterm alcohol abuse/addiction. There are more physical and psychiatric effects that longterm alcohol abuse/addiction could cause, including, but not limited to: - Anxiety - Depression - Psychosis There is no scientific evidence suggesting that there are any major longterm effects to be experienced with longterm marijuana use to date.
Urine does not affect NuvaRing.
There are no known drug interactions between NuvaRing and phentermine, so there is no reason to expect different side effects.

Answer 2:In order for the NuvaRing to be effective, you must use it the way it supposed to be used. You must NOT remove it the day after having unprotected sex. If it does not stay in for the entire three weeks after you put it in, it is NOT effective.Answer 1:Basically, yes. But you must visit a doctor to see why it makes you sick and what to use instead. Also, sex with Nuvaring is not unprotected sex. You protected, with Nuvaring :-).I would say it is pretty clear to anyone that the NUvaring should be used as described in the manual in order to be effective for future time. The question here, however, is if taking the Nuvaring out has consequences on being still protected from the effects of a previous sexual intercourse. The Nuvaring did its job during the intercourse, and is of course not protecting you any further if you take it out.
When NuvaRing is in, it is releasing hormones in your body. When you take out NuvaRing that hormone level goes down, and you have bleeding or spotting.
There is no weight limit for using NuvaRing.
Their website doesn't say but I'm pretty sure that you have to be 16 or older.. and nuvering also has more side effects than other birth controls.. so you might want to talk to your doctor first to see what they think would work best for you.. hope this helps!
