Also people are taking mosses out of the forest, which could lead to flooding because the mosses aren't there to absorb the water.

In North America and other areas they have had a very positive impact. The number of acres of total forest has increased as have the densities of these forests. Fire fighting techniques for these areas is only one reason.

Selective cutting has helped clear areas for regrowth of healthy trees.

Not everything man does is bad.
