U can apply for a waiver of the requirement that u have met but it is very rarely granted. So, ur K-1 will not be approved, usually. But, if ur petition is still pending n u can manage to meet, then u can amend it with proof of ur having met n it is likely it will, then, b approved. I might add that u can only ask for a waiver siting 1 of 2 reasons; extreme hardship or for religious reasons.
