If you are looking to enter as an A level student, you will need good GCSEs with high A or A* grades. You will then need good AS levels and high predicted grades for A levels. Chemistry is mandatory for all medical schools. Most will ask for another science (people pick Biology, Physics or Mathematics). Equivalent high grades are required if you are doing the IB or Scottish Highers.

You will need to obtain work experience in a medical setting and write a good UCAS form personal statement. Then, you will be expected to go for interviews before being offered a place at medical school. Conquest Medschools offers many services to help you into top medical schools, from UCAS form reviews to mock interview practice with current doctors who sit on medical school interview panels - www.conquestmedschools.com

Hope this helps. Any questions? email us on info@conquestmedschools.com

Enthusiasm, persistence and a willingness to research. Tailor your application and experience to the individual school you are applying to.

Without more specific information it is difficult to know, but a good place to start is always the website of the school you are considering applying to. Also some student forums are helpful.

Consider contacting an admissions tutor if you feel you need particularly individual guidance.
