Object defines the data members and behaviors as a unit. With inheritance and object composition, any of the encapsulation may be "overrided" to meet the changes in a relatively shorter time frame.

For any programming style or techniques, the productivity is based on the designer's ability to apply his or her knowledge and skills of that style. Comparing procedural programming and OO programming, the former is easier for most of the "traditional" programmers. But for any OO practitioner like me, the time to construct a program in procedural style may be longer than constructing the same requirements in OO way. So, the productivity is measured on the human, not the programming style itself.

(Easier means to have code written and running in a shorter time)

What is difference between Function Oriented Design and Obeject Oriented design?

In function oriented design a problem is thought in form of data and functions to manipulate those data. Both entities remain independent of each other. On the other hand in object oriented design a problem is thought in form of an encapsulated entity where both data and functions stay together in form of an object.
