∙ 12y agoSame-sex marriage has been legalized in the entire state of Massachusetts as of May 17, 2004. There never was a state-wide domestic partnership registry. Nevertheless the City of Boston continues to register domestic partnerships.
One other city and four towns used to have domestic partnership registries: Town of Brewster, Town of Brookline, City of Cambridge, Town of Nantucket, Town of Provincetown. It appears that they have stopped registering new domestic partnerships, although the ordinance recognizing domestic partners as spouses for purposes of municipal law is still on the books in Cambridge.

∙ 12y agoYes, there is a statewide domestic partnership registry effective February 4, 2008 that provides virtually all the same rights as legal marriage to same-sex couples. In addition, the cities of Ashland and Eugene have their own domestic partnerships registries, as does Multnomah County.
