As for mixing the two, I don't think I would be afraid to do it again, but I might remember that I get angry instead of happy and try to control that.
- Personally I find that drinking alcohol while taking stimulants isn't a pleasant experience. Instead of feeling happy and fun instead I feel tired, heavy, and slow. I can tell when the alcohol wears off (after drinking only one or two drinks) because I suddenly feel much better. They don't go well together as one is a depressant and the other a stimulant. It's like your brain is a rubber band and being pulled in both directions.

∙ 16y agoMy experience with mixing adderall and alcohol has been very unpleasant. One day I took 20mg XR and then had two mixed drinks that night. I felt like had drank much more and I vomited that night. I woke up with a severe headache and bodyache. I was also nauseated for most of the day. Adderall causes excessive urination and thirst which are signs of dehydration. Alcohol is also a diuretic causing excessive urination. My opinion of what happened in my case is that I was very dehydrated. If you decide to drink with Adderall, I would suggest drinking a lot of water. One of the things one should let their doctor know before taking Adderall is if they regularly drink Alcoholic Beverages. Or their doctor should have asked them. Alcoholic beverages interact with Adderall, you actually have a chance of being able to drink more beings that Adderall is a stimulant med. It doesn't allow the depressant effects of the alcohol to come thru, so you might not be able to feel as though you have drank, but it could make you sick. It's hard to tell. Depending on how much your dose is, when you took it, how quickly you metabolize it. The variables are many but you should really talk with your doctor or pharmacist.
