"Bad turbo" is hardly a very descriptive term. It really depends on what is bad and HOW BAD.

you may have another bad turbo, or could even be bad rings with the oil leaking into your turbo, how long after you installed the turbo did it start happening again?
if the lightbulb breakes it is goin to cut you deeply.

You can tell if a turbo is bad when you have screeching sounds from the engine severe loss of power the truck doesnt want to move much or doesnt get up to speed like it should also you can tell by looking at the turbo it self if the fan is wared out then its a bad turbo

well. are you sure its from the turbo? because if it is you will need to see where its coming frm. could be the return line gaskets goin bad. you'd have to look exactly where it's leaking...
