The assessed value of a house is quantitative because it can be measured and expressed as a specific dollar amount, usually based on factors such as the property's size, location, condition, and recent sales of comparable properties.
A quantitative [think 'quantity'] observation is an observation that you can relate specific numbers to. For example, a quantitative observation might be "It rained 1.5 inches yesterday." A qualitative [think 'quality'] observation is an observation that does not include specific numbers, such as "It rained a lot yesterday" or "It rained more yesterday than today."
quantitative data is the data that uses numbers and or amounts.
A quantitative prediction is a prediction of a specific quantity of something, for example, if I say it is going to rain tomorrow that is not quantitative, but if I say there will be an inch of rain falling tomorrow, that is quantitative. If I say the stock market will be up tomorrow, that is not quantitative, but if I say the stock market will be up by 50 points tomorrow, that is quantitative.
