To my prior knowledge and research, there is no such thing as the three original European republics. San Marino is definitely the first republic not only in Europe, but the entire world. It gained independence from the Roman Empire in 301, and also became the first country. The Roman Empire was a republic from 509 BCE - 27 BCE; this was the first republic in the world. However, this form of government (like democracy) faded over time. Europe went into the Middle Ages, where feudalism and monarchies became popular. After this era, countries slowly began to change governments again, leaning more towards democracy. For example, the UK was a monarchy but slowly turned into a constitutional monarchy (sort of like a republic). France also eventually turned from a monarchy to a Dictatorship to a republic. Most other European nations stayed monarchies even up until World War I (early 1900s). After San Marino, there truly wasn't another republic, or even a country who claimed to be a republic, until the United States.
