The parts store should have the Head Bolt specs...for the intake...You should be able to find a shop manual at your local library -- make copies of the right sections as they are usually only available in the REFERENCE section...good luck :)
i retorqued my Chevrolet heads to 90 ft. lbs. but i also found if you use the specific torque pattern the gaskets will seat better....i don't torque my intake boltsAnswer65 lb.ft.
65 ft/lbs.
30f
25-35 ft./lbs
18 ft lbs
11 ft lbs
30 ft/lbs on a cast iron intake.
If it is a small block V8 with cast iron heads you torque them to 30 ft/lbs.
what is the torque specs to a 2002 Chevrolet Malibu 3.1 liter motor. Need head and intake torque specs. and sequence.
You can find them here->http://www.boxwrench.net/specs/chevy_sb.htm
Head bolts are 65 lb/ft. Look at the link, "Small Block Chevy" at the right for all torque specs.
45, for an iron intake, 35 for aluminum.
