Penicillium
...Actually, bacteria and mold are two different things. So your question makes no sense. Mold is a type of fungus, a eukaryote. Bacteria are prokaryotes.
Penicillium mold, a fungus, is used in blue cheese.
2 maybe 3 weeks , depends !
BLUE CHEESE IS ALREDY MOLDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
mold spores are everywhere. getting away from them is almost impossible, because of this, all food mold means is that those spores have landed on a piece of food and conditions have been right for that particular type of mold to grow. There are many types of mold, some of which are added to food intentionally, such as the mold that makes blue cheese blue or green. these molds are added for the sake of changing foods flavor. Cheese molds are generally edible and mold on rye is the basis for penicillin, however not all molds are edible or appetising.
ecrfenine
No. If you leave cheese out in the warm then mold will grow on it in a few hours. Bread on the other hand would take a couple of day. This is wrong! I did a project and grew mold on cheese and it took a week. Maybe the bacteria will start to form but you will not see it with the naked eye. Also it depends on the cheese, i did mozzarella, but if it was a really soft cheese ... maybe. But defiantly cheese will grow mold faster than Bread.
it takes about a week for any cheese to mold
Colonies of bacteria growing in lines through the cheese. These originated from a few bacteria introduced into the cheese by being placed on long needles, which were then stuck into the cheese. The bacteria were cultivated from carefully selected bacteria which imparted a good flavour. Different cultures make different cheeses, with different flavours and different shades of blue or green.
It is not made with "moldy cheese" it is made with a type of blue mold added to it during its manufacturing but, this mold is not harmful to humans. Blue cheese is part of the blue veined cheese group.
yea they do (Roquefort and blue cheese contain probiotics) <><><> No they are tasty bit the penicillin-type mold that makes it blue is not the same as probiotics like the bacteria found in yogurt
some bacteria can be used in medicine and some can be used in certain foods, for example, bleu cheese dressing has mold in it (thats why the cheese is blue)
Blue cheese (or bleu cheese) is a cheese that has had Penicillium cultures added so that the final product is spotted or veined with blue-gray or blue-green mold.
it comes from bacteria
Cheese is molded on purpose. The blue in cheese is the color of mold.
BLUE CHEESE IS ALREDY MOLDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Blue cheese gets the name from the veins of blue colored mold that go through it. It is intentional, as it is a cheese curd infected with penecillium to have that result, which also gives it the pungent flavor.
Yes it is, today most varieties of blue cheese are either injected with mold or it is mixed right in with the curd.
blue mold
Blue cheese is mostly white with veins of blue mold growing in it.
