I believe that the only bad effects of the Olympics are an increase in amounts of litter due to any packaging from food served at the events, as well as increased pollution because of the fossil fuels used to transport people to and from the stadim, and their homes.
it is also bad for animals who will have to leave their habitats and lots of trees will be cut down so there is room for the stadium
