The MacBook Pro has a 95-watt-hour lithium-polymer battery. This is a measure of how much power is available in the battery. There are many ways to use the MacBook Pro. Each function uses power. The fewer functions you use, the longer the battery charge will last. The more functions you use, the faster the battery is drained. Watching a movie takes more power that writing in a word processor. Apple suggests about a 7 hour use is possible, but it all depends on what you are doing. If you mulit-task, you won't get 7 hours of battery charge. Lithium polymer batteries need to be charged regularly. If left unattended for months they will loose their ability to be recharged fully if at all.
