Answer 1
Quran says (meaning English translation):
".... You will find the nearest in love to Muslims those who say 'we are Christians'. That is because amongst them are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world and they are not arrogant. And when they listen to the Quran revelation received by the Messenger (Muhammad), you see their eyes overflowing with tears because of the truth they have recognized. ... So because of what they said, Allah (God) rewarded them ...."[Quran, chapter 5, verses 82-86]
In brief, followers of both religions; commonly and similarly; believe in:
Answer 2 (Comment on Answer 1)
Both religions do not believe in the same God as Allah of Quran is different from the God of the Christians: Allah says He is the Best of Deceivers (Surah 3:54, 8:30). God of the Christians is not a deceiver as when God became a human in Jesus Christ He said I AM the Truth (John 14:6). Allah of the Muslim is not called Father but the Christians call their God Father. Allah of the MUslims thought Trinity consists of Father, Son and Mary while the God of the Christians taught Trinity as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19) Allah of the Muslims say Jesus did not die but the God of the Christians teach that Jesus died for our sins as happened in history and as foretold by Jewish prophets.
Allah's revelation does not follow the revelation brought through the Jewish prophets except in the case of One God.
Hints on Answer 2 above
The three religions stem from same God (called in Arabic Allah). God is the one and only one God with no partner, no son, no father, no companion, no associate, and no equivalence). It is to be noticed that the Best of Deceivers is not of God names or attributes. It is mentioned in Quran in context of long debate. So, it is misleading to truncate some words and base a conclusion on it. It is more logic to read the full text and then make a conclusion. Calling God as a father sure is not meant as a physical father. Jesus is believed by Muslims as one of the greatest five prophet (namely; Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad; peace be upon them) and never believed as son of God. Even some Christians don't believe that Jesus is God or son of God. The differences between Christian and Muslim beliefs do not impose that God of Muslims is not the same God as God of Christians or Jews.
Answer 3
They both follow what was originally the same God, and they both grew out of Judaism.
Comment on Answer 3
The people who say that Christianity and Islam "grew out of Judaism" are denying God. God revealed the Torah to Moses - it was not man-made. So Christians will say that God gave revelation to Jesus later on. Muslims would say that God revealed the Qur'an to Muhammad. They weren't just making it up in imitation of those before them. It was God sending new messages at times when it was appropriate to send a new message.
In theory at least--people of any ethnicity or nationality can be Muslim or Christian. This has not always been the case with every religion.
Islam and Christianity share a common history with Judaism although there are variances between those histories depending on who you ask. Both consider Adam to have been the first man; Moses and Abraham to have been important founding fathers; Jerusalem to be a holy city.
In Islam, Jesus was a prophet and is respected as such.
The canonical scriptures of Christianity--on the other hand--are thought to predate the time of Mohammad and so Mohammad is not generally recognized in Christianity.
In addition to the above:The two religions, Christianity and Islam, have in common all social values, morals, and principles of life. Both religions call for good deeds such as honesty, helping the poor, taking care of old people, to be nice and sympathetic with women and children, not spoiling the environment, to be kind with animals, not to kill without authority, not to steal, not to cheat, not to terrify the innocents, ... etc. These common social objectives of both religions are what we should maximize, observe, and agree upon in order to bring world societies to peace, love, and justice. Both religions believe in God, Day of Judgment, Paradise&Hell, Angels, and prophets (although Christians not believing in all of them)Judaism and Christianity have the Old Testament in common. Islam believes both OT and NT have been partially corrupted in transmission while the Koran is believed by Muslims to be the final and infallible revelation of God's will.
Though Muslims believe in God which they call Allah, Islam teaches that Allah is all-powerful, sovereign and 'unknowable' while Judaism and Christianity both teach the Creator God to be revealed as merciful, compassionate and knowable (see Jeremiah 9:24 and John 17:3).
The Christian text teaches the God of the Old Testament was the Word and it was He who Abraham and the other patriarchs and prophets worshiped. Islam teaches the Word, aka Jesus 'as one of perhaps 124,000 messengers of prophets Allah has sent and is one of the 25 listed in the Koran - but He is not the redeemer' (Marvin Olasky, "Islam vs. Liberty," World, Sept 10, 2011).
All in all, there are more differences and conflicts between the Judeo-Christian texts and the Muslim text, as well as the Koran conflicts with secular history.
Islam and christianity both believe in one God and that he is the creator and the all merciful and the great. Christians belief that God has a son; however the muslims believe that God has no mother, father, son, daughter; etc. Just to let you know I myself am Muslim.
Christians and Muslims both believe in the existence of one God, in the prophets, and in the Day of Judgment. They also share beliefs in moral teachings, such as compassion, kindness, and charity. Additionally, they both have reverence for certain figures like Jesus and Mary.
Some of the beliefs that Christianity and Islam share:
1) there is a god
2) there is an afterlife
3) there is heaven and there is hell
4) there are prophets
5) there are angels and there is Lucifer
6) there is good and there is evil
7) Jesus is a prophet (and similarly are many others who came before, like Moses, Abraham, Noah and Adam)
There are probably many more shared beliefs. Please add...
At their cores they are not similar as there are major theological differences especially between Judeo-Christians and Islam.
In Judeo-Christianity, there is an 'intimacy' revealed by God to His Creation (see Deuteronomy 1:31; Isaiah 40:11; Jeremiah 3:14 to list a few). We are even told to call Him 'Father' (see Matthew 6:8, et al). This is not the case in Islam. The Judeo-Christian God is presented as a God of Love - as the initiator and for all mankind, even sinners. The Qur'an has numerous places that say God does not love the sinner (see Deuteronomy 7:7; and John 3:16 versus Sura 2:190 and Sura 3:57 as examples).
For Islam, God is unknowable (see Sura 40 as example) while in Judeo-Christianity, God reveals Himself in many ways to His Creation (see Jeremiah 9:23-24 and John 17:3 as examples). These are just some of the differences between the religions.
Some similaritesis that both Islam and Christianity believe in the prophets such as Prophets Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus (Peace be upon them all).
-They both share some moral values such as love thy neighbor, cherish life, feed the poor. etc.
The differeneces:
Mainly Islam and Christianity share many of the same teachings. But the biggest difference is that Islam believes in the worship of God alone and believes in the final Prophat named Prophet Muhammed(Peace be upon him). Also in Islam, Jesus(Peace be upon him) is one of the mightest messanger of god but a man none the less. In Islam Prophet Jesus(PBUH) is loved and respected but not worshiped. Muslims(followers of Islam) consider the worship of any man be it Prophet Jesus(PBUH) or Muhammed(PBUH) as blasphemy and only worship God alone.
Christianity believes that although Jesus(PBUH) was a man, he was a prophet sent by God but also the son of God and God at the same time. Hope this helps. Peace

Some of the many similarities are:
There is only One True God
We are not to worship any other gods
Many Old Testament prophets were from God
Jesus was from God
It appeared to all that Jesus died on the cross
God gave the Torah, the prophets, and Gospel
We are to obey God's words
We should surrender/sacrifice ourselves to God
Jesus will return
God will resurrect all for judgment.
Believers who die will go to heaven and live forever
Disbelievers will go to hell to be punished forever
It is important to pray to God
We should help the poor (at least the Muslim poor)
Christians, Jews, and Muslims should not be killed for their
I found this answer from a Muslim website, is not from me, but hope that helps.
In reality, there really is no similarity to best describe the Judeo-Christian beliefs of God to the Muslim Islamic belief. Many would say they both worship 'God' but that is a very general area when one looks at some characteristics of God and how these were communicated to men.
Judaism and Christianity have the Old Testament in common. Islam believes both OT and NT have been partially corrupted in transmission while the Koran is believed by Muslims to be the final and infallible revelation of God's will.

There are several similarities that Christianity and Islam have. They both believe in a supreme creator and preach peace to their followers among other things.
For Muslims, Ismael was going to be sacrificed by Abraham. Christian bible says it was Isaack.
For Muslims, Jesus was a prophet. For Christians the Son of God.

Two main religious groups involved in the Crusades were Christians and Muslims. Christians sought to reclaim the Holy Land, particularly Jerusalem, which was under Muslim control. The Muslims, on the other hand, defended their territories and religious beliefs against Christian invaders.
The Crusades, a series of religious wars between Christians and Muslims, officially ended in 1291 when the Muslims captured the last Christian stronghold in the Holy Land. However, tensions and conflicts between Christians and Muslims have persisted in various forms throughout history.
Muslims and Christians share common values such as love, compassion, and kindness towards one another. Both religions promote peace and understanding, encouraging followers to treat each other with respect and empathy. By viewing each other as brothers and sisters, Muslims and Christians can foster stronger bonds based on shared humanity and mutual respect.
The difference between Islam and Christianity is that for Christianity, Christians worship Jesus, whom they believe is the son of God, whereas in Islam, Muslims worship Mohamed. But mohameds a prophet? Muskims worship allah though
The Muslims didn't learn anything from the christians because they where so cruel to the christians.
No, they are fully different religions with different faiths.Buddhists and Muslims do not share the same religious views especially Theravada Buddhists who don't worship a "god"Buddhists share some common features with Hindus, Sikhs and Jains. however. Muslims have some common features with Jews and Christians.
The main conflict in beliefs is that most Christians believe in Jesus as God or son of God while Muslims believe in Jesus (peace be upon him) as one of the greatest prophets and Muslims don't believe in Jesus as God or son of God.
Christians, Jews, and Muslims
Of course! Christians believe that we should all be able to live in harmony and Muslims are not an 'enemy' of Christians. Christians actually share many beliefs with Muslims, the same as they do with Judaism. If you believe in the Christian God then you believe that any killing is a sin, whether it be through war or a planned murder, they are viewed by religion as equal sins.
All three agree Moses was a prophet.
The majority are Muslims followed by Christians followed by Jews.
That God, the creator of the heavens and the earth, is the true judge of all mankind and that God offers every person the opportunity to repent their sins and return to a righteous path in life.
The majority of Filippinos are Catholic Christians with the southern islands being mainly populated by Muslims.
No. A mosque is a building. Buildings do not have beliefs or opinions. A mosque is a place of worship for Muslims. Muslims believe in the same God that Jews and Christians worship.
A mosque is a church where Muslims go to profess their beliefs in Islam.
While Christians do share many similarities in their beliefs, there are some beliefs which are fundamentally different between many of the churches. So, while this is simply my opinion, i feel that it is neccisary that all churches should share the SAME beliefs or they should call a spade a spade and simply split up. There is no point in attempting to reconcile and unify what is irreconcilable and broken.
Personal opinion here. I as a Christian do not hate Muslims. I do not agree with their beliefs but that is what separates the different religions. We have different beliefs. I in no way condone the actions of radical Muslim groups or any group that wishes to destroy those that do not hold to their beliefs. The Nazi's did this during WW2.
