If there is no power going to the headlight trace the wire back and you may find a splice near or under the washer fluid container that is corroded. My car had an improper white plastic snap connecter there that should have been a proper sealed splice. This was put there by the factory and my service technician took 2 hours to trace it because he never seen that kind of connector used in that spot before. good luck Emmery On my 97 zcar the previous owner had headlight problems so he rewired all the front lights to a working parking light wire.Whe I bought it I put it back like it was suppose to be.Then went and got a headlight/blinker cluster(the blinker thing on the collum).Changed that ..all problems solved.
i was driving in the rain last night my headlights and wipers quit working and i stop the car for 15 minutes and they starting working again and they are still working what could have cause this my car is 2002 cavalier
i was wondering whether the switch at the parking brake could affect this problem.
Could be a linkage problem..
I have a 2000 Cavalier that did the same thing with the DRL, and only one of the lights worked when I put on the headlights manually. Ended up being a burnt-out bulb that I had to replace. No wiring necessary.
theres a short somewhere most likely bad ground
Check your owners manual to see how to fix your headlights. If you do not see an answer you could check with your local dealer.
a radiator is actually more fragile then people believe. A rock could penetrate it and cause it to leak. With that in mind, If the vehicle was in an accident to cause the headlights to come off, it could damage the radiator.
There could be a problem with the power of common ground to the Cavalier light and sun roof. Check the fuses and wiring for the problem.
anti theft system is bad
The ground ciruit for the headlights is by way of the headlight switch , the lights always have power
Gas
sounds like the ignition control module
