Roughly from west to east:

Portland Canal (including Pearse Canal and Tongass Passage), Strait of Juan de Fuca, Georgia Strait, Lake of the Woods, Rainy River, Rainy Lake, approximately 40 small lakes and rivers in the Quetico region, Pigeon River, Lake Superior, St Marys River, Lake Huron, St Clair River, Lake St Clair, Detroit River, Lake Erie, Niagara River, Lake Ontario, St Lawrence River, Hall's River, St Francis River, St John River, St Croix River, Spednic Lake, Grand Falls Lake, Chiputneticook Lakes,North Lake, Mud Lake Grand Lake, North Lake, McKeon Pond, Glasier Lake, Mc Pherson Pond, Grew Pond, Cross Lake, Beau Lake.

The International Boundary also crosses several waterways, both freshwater and saltwater, but they do not act as "dividers."

The Bodies of water that lies between USA and Canada are Great Lakes, St Lawrence River, Mississippi River and the Atlantic Ocean because they all connect together and go through the lakes to the river then the water stream goes down the fall and in to the ocean
