The Allegheny and Monongahela River join to form the Ohio River. All three are located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Delaware River runs through Philadelphia. The Delaware River makes up some of the borders between Pennsylvania and the states of New York and Delaware. It makes up the entire border between Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The Susquehanna River runs south through the entire eastern part of the state. Lake Erie borders the northwest corner of the state.

Some of the major lakes n Pennsylvania include Lake Erie, which is one of the Great Lakes, Pymatuning Lake, Beltzville Lake, and Lake Nockamixon, all located in the eastern portion of the state. The Allegheny Reservoir is the second largest lake n the state.
