Boost pressure at full throttle under load should be about 37lbs.
Lift pump pressure is only about 10 psi. Cummins actually does not put a spec on it. They put a spec on how much volume the pump is putting out. Should be more that 500ml in 30 seconds. The high pressure side of the system will vary from 5000 psi to 20,000 psi.
Should be at least 20PSI at idle
There should be an 8-digit number on a dataplate. No letters all number. Call Cummins for help.
Oil pressure depends on the engine--my Cummins ISX runs at 40psi, some Detroits run at 50 and so on. If you're coming from empty tanks, you should see the Low Air light go out within two to three minutes after startup, and you want to have 110psi or more when you drive.
Dodge cummins. By far
No, you really should be using red ELC.
5000-7500 miles
DELVAC from Wal*Mart is my choice
if you have to ask you should not be touching them
I had a 02 Dodge 3500 with the Cummins, a 6 speed stick, and 410 gears in the rear, and I was getting around 21 MPG on the highway.
You should be using red extended life coolant (ELC).
Every other oil change.
