There are many breeds of dogs that would be great to take boating with you. However when considering a dog that you plan to take boating with you keep in mind that some dogs can't even swim (example: the bulldog), while others are so suited for swimming that they even have webbed feet (such as the Newfoundland). There are numerous Dog Breeds that were bred to love water so your choices are definitely not limited. To name a few water-loving breeds: retriever's tend to love water and to swim so they would make a great boating dog. As mentioned Newfoundlands are great swimmers and also love water. Lets not forget the Portuguese water dog now either.
If you want to get a dog that loves water/love to go boating, it is important to do plenty of research, and I'd highly recommend talking to people who own the specific breed you find yourself interested in to find out if it is right for you.
the best breed is a Labrador
Dog race- would be the Iditerod- in Alaska. Best dog breed? - that breed hails from the state of Missouri. Dog breed is Miniture Shar Pei- Dog name - Wheezer.
There is no one "best" breed, they all have their merits and downfalls.
No breed is "best", it depends on the individual. The best breed of dog would be one that fits in with a person's lifestyle and home, which of course differ from person to person. One OpinionFrom experience I would say the best bread of dog to get would be a labradoodle as they are such a loving dog and a good friend.
