Well I have a little Yorkshire terrier puppy myself and He's not even a year old yet.

Usually he eats Mince,Chicken,Sausages,Or Specially Made Yorkshire Terrier biscuits. Most Yorkshire Terrier Puppies Will Eat Chicken Mince,Which Is A mix Of Mince And Rice & Chicken,Other than that then Buy Special packet Puppy food. And Keep Your Yorkshire terrier away from milk,it upsets their stomach..

You can give your dog the ff:

* Give your dog healthy snacks such as fruits and vegetables: apple slices, carrot sticks, orange segments, banana slices, and frozen vegetables are all canine favorites.

* It's okay to give your dog a little bite of what you had for dinner, but only the bits you'd eat yourself--no fat or gristle, please!

* Some foods aren't good for dogs and can cause serious health problems. These include chocolate, onions, raisins, and grapes.

* Make sure what you buy is high in protein, not grain-based, and that it's AAFCO-tested. The AAFCO, the American Association of Feed Control Officials, is a watchdog group that sets food-testing and labeling standards.

give them any DOG food you think is good

Primarily, I feed mine Science Diet small bites, but at dinner time, our yorkie will eat whatever protein/meat we are having. Of course, if it's fried, I'll peel off the fried stuff or I also keep grilled chicken strips just for him in case he can't eat what we're eating.

The foods you feed your Yorkie is extremely important. They can become very seriously ill if you give them foods that aren't really good for them.

Many individuals love to spoil their Yorkie so they give them bits of their human foods. The problem though is that many of them are high in fat.

Avoid giving them table scraps, chocolate, and other items that you would eat yourself.

The right Yorkie puppy food is important because that is how it will get the nourishment to grow. You want your Yorkie to be as healthy as possible.

Since baby Yorkies are so active they will burn a great deal of energy each day. The right type of Yorkie puppy food is going to ensure they have the nutritional values they need to be healthy as well as happy.

There are serious health concerns that can develop when you don't feed your Yorkie puppy food. For example they can develop hypoglycemia which this breed of dog is prone to developing anyway.

Therefore you don't want to increase the risk of it by neglecting their dietary needs.

You will find that a Yorkie doesn't consume very much food at all. This means what you do offer needs to be what it needs nutritionally. If you spoil baby Yorkies with foods that aren't good for them they may not take well to what they should eat.

From the start you need to offer them premium dry dog food. It isn't a good idea to feed them soft dog food as it will ruin their teeth. They will become weak and then fall out. Some vets find it acceptable to mix soft and dry dog food together though to ensure their teeth remain healthy.

They need to eat two or three times a day due to the fact they don't eat much at one time. If possible feed your Yorkie at the same times each day. This will help their body to regulate digestion.

If this isn't possible then do your best to ensure they have food available when they are hungry. Most Yorkies don't consume much water but you need to make sure it is accessible when they do get thirsty. They need to stay hydrated or they can become seriously ill.

When changing your Yorkies food you need to pay close attention to how it responds. Only introduce one new food at a time. This way you can look for signs that your Yorkie has a food allergy.

This will generally be to specific ingredients found in the foods. You will need to narrow down what it is that your dog is allergic to so you can provide foods that don't contain it.

Some individuals make their Yorkies food at home. There are many great recipes out there for this. It is a great way to ensure you know exactly what is in the food your pet gets.

Due to the scare with packaged dog food a couple of years ago more people have turned to this alternative as a precaution.

Your veterinarian can help you to select the right combination of foods for your Yorkie. This is a very important part of properly caring for your pet. You can help prevent a variety of different health concerns for it if you pay close attention to the diet from a very young age.

Keep in mind that as your Yorkie ages the type of food you offer as well as the volume of it will need to change. Your vet can help you with this as well so that you are always on target.

A Yorkshire terrier should be able to eat what normal dogs usually eat. If it has food Allergies or other problems it will need a dog food to fit its needs. If food allergies, a basic two ingredient dog food is best, and be sure to look at the back and make sure there is no wheat, corn, or things like that. Oatmeal and duck or something similar would be best, because rarely dogs have reactions to ingredients like that. Wheat is the most common food allergen for dogs.

Any good quality dog kibble (research dog food at www.dogfoodanalysis.com) is good for any breed, including Yorkies. Avoid kibbles that claim to be breed specific - this is entirely marketing and these kibbles are often very low quality. A small kibble like those found in Fromm Four-Star or Wellness Small Breed would be a good choice.

well any type of dog food (not treats, buiscuits, or bones)

that can fit in it's mouth.

but some dog foods with flavoring can give it an ear infection, like my

dog.

my dog ate dog food with flavoring in it, and now he has an ear infection.we took

him to a vet and the vet says he ate too much flavoring that his ear

infection will never go away.

so alway look at the ingredience wich is located on the back of the food can, bag, box,

or whatever it is in.

Skin chicken pieces (I use breasts) then steam until tender. Cool, then be sure you get ALL bones out and dice the chicken up into small pieces. Organic chicken broth. Rice or barley. Be sure the rice or barley is rinsed off well and cook as directed. Peas and either shredded carrots, diced carrots into small pieces or both. Talk to your vet and ask them what vitamins your puppy needs and then when serving up this homemade stew (in very small amounts because your puppies stomach isn't that big) and mix in any oils or vitamins your vet suggested into the mixture. ALL adult dogs should be fed in the morning and at dinnertime. I feed my pets before I eat breakfast or dinner. By feeding your dog twice a day this stops high acidity in the dogs stomach.
