it could be the belt or pullys check the tensioner assembly
Knocking as opposed to pinging or ticking, usually means seriously worn bearings of some sort. Time for an overhaul.
sounds like someone is ready for that $600 tuneup
Sounds like an overcharging alternator. Check your voltage, It should be around 12.7 - 14.5.
Knocking sounds like someone repeatedly rapping the engine with a hammer, and the quieter pinging resembles marbles being shaken inside a tin can. Knocking and pinging are actually symptoms of abnormal combustion in an engine, mostly heard when it is under heavier load, during acceleration as opposed to cruising. What causes abnormal combustion? Many things, some of them avoidable and some of them not, but the common solution to almost all of them is gasoline with a higher octane rating
what engine?
It is more than likely the lifters. Lifters begin to loose some of their ability to hold oil pressure and you get a slight ticking sound, it usually is louder at start up. It is nothign to worry about. As long as you are not hearing a pinging or knocking....those are sounds you need to address quickly
Sounds like your lifters are bad and might need ajusted or changed, it could be your cam not looping.
if it sounds like the knocking is coming from the bottom of the engine i would bet it was the rods or rod bearings may be worn. if the knocking is on the top ,then i would have the lifters and or the rocker arms checked.
Sounds like the actuator on the drivers side is not operating properley. To check it out, remove the panel under the steering wheel, reach up to the actuator arm and try to move it to its bottom position, if heat comes out you solved the problem.
get a new trany or rebildit cuz its going out unless the knocking is from moter it might be timing
When the car is off. sounds like a short in the blower or short in the wires
Sounds like you have big problems, sounds like it has been run low on oil, and or the oil pump quit working, and you wont be driving the car much longer,it sounds like rods knocking, which means new engine time .
