It's called "tough love" and you have become an enabler instead of helping your adult child by just letting them live there and continuing this bad behavior. Your child has deep-rooted issues and needs psychological help to get to the root of the problem. Hopefully your husband is there to help, but if not have a male relative (large man) come over and when your child goes into a rage phone the police. Press charges! This will enable your child to get the help they need. Adult children seldom listen to parents or relatives, so it's going to take strangers in counseling and a controlled atmosphere to help your child. Family should stay out of it until the counselor feels family should meet with your child. I know it's hard, but, if you don't do something now you may lose your child forever to the streets or to death and I think you already know it. I am sure the rages are not only alcohol abuse, but also drug abuse.
Alcoholism is addiction to alcohol. Both physical and psychological factors are usually involved.

Booze, hooch, adult beverage, are some nicknames for alcohol in general.
No you must not drink alcohol while using this inhaler. (If you are teetotal don't use it) 9mg per dose ( approx it could actually be more ) adds up to 144mp alcohol in the blood, for an adult using it at recommended 16 doses per day, will take you over the drink-drive limit in the UK. Also be aware this inhaler has addiction risks. Alcohol is in any form, addictive any so called benefits to your asthma is wasted if you end up with an addiction. Personally I'd give the inhaler back to the chemist & tell the GP/Asthma nurse to stuff it.
no
Adult, child, addiction, and geriatric psychiatry are not of the quack kind.
If an adult is alert, oriented, and competent to manage their own affairs, the person can refuse all medical care. It is not neglect if a competent adult refuses care. However, if the person is not competent, yes it may be judged as neglect depending on the circumstances.
