The special bolts that hold a toilet to the floor.
Sure. Either way. The wax ring seals the toilet to the closet flange so it doesn't really matter that much. The important part is that the toilet be mounted firmly to the floor so that it doesn't move. That would cause the wax ring to fail then the toilet would leak around the flange.
No, it is not recommended to glue the toilet closet flange to the pipe. The flange should be secured to the floor using bolts or screws, and the toilet is then secured to the flange using wax rings or sealing gaskets. Gluing the flange to the pipe can make it difficult to remove or replace the toilet in the future.
If the floor finish in the room that the closet opens from is tile, and the base of the closet is at floor level, having the same floor finish in the closet is attractive and makes it easy to clean.
If they keep turning then the socket in the floor flange is distorted, or the bolt heads have worn. Pull the toilet and fit a new st of bolts and make sure they don't turn before re-fitting the toilet.
Depends on the toilet being purchased, but generally 12 inches from the wall to the center of the toilet flange for a residential toilet.
It really doesn't matter. Usually it does turn right below the toilet and then to the main stack, but that is just because it is usually running between floor joist.
if you mean the toilet floor gasket, that is about 1 hour labour. Call 3 local plumbers and ask for rate
Yes, you can install it in a closet as long as there is nothing obstructing the box or nothing has to be moved to get to the box. You must also have 3 feet of clearance around the box and the door must be able to be opened 90 degrees. You cannot install it in a closet located in a bathroom. The top of the box can be no higher than 6' off the floor or less than 4' off the floor. Ceiling must be at least 6' tall.
It is probably PVC and the bolts that hold the toilet down don't line up? You may have to cut the flange off of the pipe for this to work. Toilets vary a bit on the drain on the bottom and exactly how far it sticks down. They make a steel repair ring that you can screw down to the floor and position as needed. It is just a flat ring with the toilet bolt slots and 6 ears for screwing to the floor. Use Tapcon self taping concrete screws and it should work fine. Or you can jack hammer out the floor, cut the closet flange off and put a new one on the right direction. Just a thought.
Yes, be sure to pipe floor drain line properly into water closet piping.
No, as long as there is a minimum of 12 inches between the centre of the drain and the back wall. The only wall hung toilets are commercial. All residential toilets run through the floor.
