Don't know what the code is, but I take all my CEL's to AutoZone or PepBoys where they will scan it for free and tell you what the actual code is referring to. Don't let the dealer take you for a ride. You may also want to try an independent mechanic who might only charge you a little bit for the information as opposed to the dealer who will run all sorts of BS diagnostic tests. You can check the code yourself without going anywhere. However, this will do you no good if you don't know what the code stands for. If you want to check the code and work on the car yourself, go to a book store or an auto parts store and purchase a CHILTON or HAYNES maintenance manual for your car. It will show you how to check the codes yourself and it will tell you what the codes mean. The main thing to know is that these codes won't tell you what exactly is wrong with your car. They will only tell you which system has a problem (exhaust, fuel, etc). By bringing the car to a Honda dealership to have the work done, they will know the most likely cause of the problem. In the end, this may save you money because you won't be buying unnecessary parts. The number one cause of a check engine light is the oxygen sensor.
