Another method is making a solution of malathion and water and pouring this into the hole where the bees come from. Malathion is a poison available at any hardware or Lowes or Home Depot store. Mix one ounce per gallon. This works for fire ants too. I use malathion because it is biodegradable.
IT IS ILLEGAL TO USE MALATHION ON BEES!!!!If you use malathion you will kill the bees ,the dog and you might even get sick! Bees are good. No need to kill them. Plug the hole and keep the dog away for a awhile. They are biting him because of a spray or perfume that is on him. If you feed him near this area then the bites may be when there is food left out. This would be Yellow Jackets( wasps), they eat proteins. They are not bees.
Remember all these pollinators are what allow our gardens to produce food!!!
Also, just because the powder disappears when you add water does NOT mean it is BIODEGRADABLE. It can conaminate your well, pond and the dogs water bowl.
