The Hummer H2 gets really poor gas mileage, somewhere in the range of 10 to 12 mpg. The Bugatti Veyron gets only 10 mpg, but it probably emits less CO2 overall as these tend not to be driven as much as the H2.

Is car exhaust?

a car exhaust is the pipe that sticks out of the back or sides of a car. There is a catalyst (an element) inside every exhaust in the world and what it does is act as a filter. For example a car engine produces both carbon dioxide (CO2) and carbon monoxide (CO) and other products but they're not important in this case, a catalyst would hold some of the carbon in carbon monoxide to make more carbon dioxide. This means tat less deadly gases are released.

Does an economical car reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in the air?

No car can actually reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in the air, but an economical car will add less additional carbon dioxide to the air than a less economical one.

What are car engine fumes?

Fumes which are a byproduct of combustion within the engine block, most commonly Carbon Dioxide and Carbon Monoxide.

What does a car give off?

What process produces co2 and water as waste?

Carbon makes up a large portion of the earth. 50% of a tree is carbon. When we burn just about anything the carbon is released in the form of carbon dioxide and water is often released as waste. A good example of this is petroleum, or gasoline. Complete combustion, or burning, when driving a car, releases carbon dioxide (CO2) and water.

What acid is produced from car exhaust?

What percentage of carbon dioxide is caused by car fumes?

AnswerYes, they do. When a hydrocarbon (e.g: gasoline) is burned, it releases water, carbon dioxide, and energy. For each litre of petrol used, the CO2 produced from the exhaust is about 2.5 kg. A typical annual use of 1200 litres of petrol produces about 3 tons of CO2.Cars produce almost 1% of all CO2. Nature, through rotting vegetation, produces 95%. However, vegetation absorbs an equal mass of CO2 out of the atmosphere while growing. Cars do not do that.Yes, cars do produce carbon Di-oxide.. U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) originally viewed carbon dioxide as a product of "perfect" combustion, but now views CO2 as a pollution concern. Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas that traps the earth's heat and contributes to Climate Change.
