It could be a number of things. The first things you ask yourself with a poorly running engine are, is it getting air, is it getting fuel and is it getting spark? From there(if it has all of those things) is to check for compression and check for vacuum leaks. This can be done with a compression tester and a smoke tester. From there, if it is still running poorly and has good compression, no leaks, its getting air/fuel/spark you should look into whether or not the ECU is still good. Hope this helps, good luck.
