If it is only one pop when turning and sounds like something is binding and letting loose. It will probably be a problem with the sway bar or sway bar endlinks, If you change the end links and it's still there try the ball joints. If it pops numerous times while turning(click, click, click, click) it will probably be the CV joint.
If the car is starving for fuel or air (low power at idle), the car will stall while turning.

Centrifugal force
Because the force of the car turning causes your body to also turn
You have either run something over or your car is due for a service
If effort is not given to steering wheel, front wheels also would not turn. When a turn is taken, no such effort is given to rear wheels for turning because the cars are usually front wheeled steered. So it is the inertia of the wheels and the car which causes the rear end of the car not want to turn when turning and they usually slip.
sounds like a cv joint
