It also depends on what you are using when you experience lockups. If it is in the browser, you may need to reinstall the browser, or you may need to reinstall JAVA or Flash. In rare cases, you may need to find a JAVA or Flash remover before reinstalling those components.

∙ 13y agoA computer will crash for any number of reason, but it is typically due to a bug in a system critical component. To fix it, the faulty component must be singled out. After that, it must be disabled, if no fix for the bug exists, or it must be updated to a version in which the bug has been fixed.

There are plenty different reasons why your computer to freeze. But the most common 2 I will say. Well my brothers computer likes to freeze sometimes because it gets too hot, and plenty other computers like to freeze, and when they do, it might be for this reason. Or the other reason is the complete opposite, having a crappy computer other than have one to powerful, it can't take the heat. Well my computer likes to freeze because it's a crappy computer and when I'm doing a million stuff at a time and it's trying to load too much at once, it'll freeze. And these are the 2 main problems with a freezing computer. To check the tempurature, google something up and you'll get something. Hoping I was most helpful.

Under tools at the top of your screen click on Internet options and delete your temp files, cookies etc. Depending on your computer windows program and virus you could clean and check for your virus' as well.
