Check the alternator.

It is not a warning light. The DRL stands for Daytime Running Lights and will always be on unless you turn on your dashboard lights.
The consensus of opinions states that they are great to reach out of the way places where you can't run cords, however the light isn't as bright or consistent as traditional lights.
It is in the fuse box underneath the dash. Do you have tail lights? If not, you may have a bad light switch.
Possibly blown fuse, bad brake light switch, or blown brake light bulbs.
its gotta be a ford a problem with the center brake light circuit causes the lights to go out i believe it is a diode
