In the coolant reservoir in front of the engine.
On the 4.0 L - OHV - V6 engine , follow the top radiator hose from the radiator to the engine where the thermostat housing is . There should be 2 coolant temperature sending units . I believe the smaller one on the left ( looking from the front ) is for your engine coolant temperature gauge and the larger one on the right is for the EEC - V system
sensor is located on coolant housing at engine front
If the front of the engine leaks coolant there is a blown head gasket. This requires immediate repair as it can lead to a blown engine if not managed appropriately.
