Why do you have to play with the gas pedal to go on your 1991 infiniti m30?
I own a M30 from what I understand it has a Steptronic Transmission which means that to shift gears you have to do it yourself with the gas pedal I found that best time to shift gears was around 3500 rpm's at that pt I release the gas and then wait for it to go down to about 1500 rpms or so and then reapply my ft and repeat... like a stick shift on training wheels I assume... If I am wrong will someone please correct me..

if there's a middle pedal you're in a stick shift and you'll need to know how to use the pedal on the left (the clutch) to shift gears

I'm not sure how your gears are out but, on my truck with a 5spd manual transmission I had a problem where it became progressively more difficult to shift into 4th, then 3rd became a problem. I started dismantling the shifter and there was a plastic bushing at the base of the shift lever that had completely disintegrated. Couple dollars for the part at the dealership and it was shifting good as new.
If my truck won't go how do i tell if it is the clutch gone out or the manual transmission?
First off can you feel it shift through all the gears while off (not running). Second off while running can you shift through the gears or does it grind while trying to shift through them. If it grinds when you try to shift then your clutch is shot. Good luck

If your Blazer won't go into park the problem could be with the shift linkage. There could be a problem with the cable, but the shift linkage is most likely responsible.
