The Church of England.
Anglican Catholic Answer!
Henry didn't form any church as far as I have been taught! He was a member of the Catholic Church in England, known throughout the ages as the Church in England! The first bishop of that Church was Aristobulos, a friend of S. Paul and who is mentioned in the Ep, to the Romans.
What Henry did do was to take sides in a thousand year long dispute regarding the authority within the Church, did it still lay with the apostles through the College of Bishops? Or was it with the Bishop of Rome?
Henry and the English Church simply pointed out to Rome, that according to the Canons of the Church no bishop had authority to interfere in another bishop's see. This upset the Bishop of Rome and he refused Henry in to his communion!
Regardless of his intention, he did, in fact, create a Protestant denomination.
Henry VII did not establish a religion. His son, Henry VIII, established the Church of England.

== == The Anglican Church (the Church of England) is the historical continuation of the Christian Church that was started in the early centuries of Christianity. In the reign of King Henry VIII the Church of England began to separate from being under the jurisdiction of the Pope. This was a culmination of a number of schisms involving the Eastern Church, and the protestant movement that was begun in Germany by Martin Luther to protest at what was seen as corruption in the Catholic Church. After alltercations between Henry and the pope, not least the pope's refusal to grant Henry a divorce, he decided too to break away from Rome to form his own church - the church of England, with Christ at its head (and not the Pope) and himself and every subsequent monarch as the Supreme Governor on earth, with the Archbishop of Canterbury as spiritual head. == ==
Our states or territories, at the time still called colonies by the British, wanted their independence from Britain and therefore didn't want Henry or anyone else to be a king; the states wanted an elected official (president) as head of this country and no king or emperor had any place in a democratic form of government, or the republic which we were to become.
During the reign of Henry VIII the English Catholic Church separated from Rome and Henry was made Head of the Catholic Church which was renamed the Church of England. This was because Henry needed a divorce from his wife who could not give him a male heir, and the Pope would not annul the marriages. After Henry's death the church was engilfed in conflict as to the nature of the new church, many wanted to reform the church away from Catholicism and adopt the new Protestant ideas coming from within England and Europe. The Puritans wanted a complete removal of all traces of Rome as an example. During the reign of Elizabeth I a compromise was reached where the Church of England retained some Catholic practices and dopted some Protestant reforming ideas. The new faith evolved as the Anglican faith which remains to this day a unique mix of both Catholic and Protestant.
Henry VIII founded the church of England in 1534 after he broke away from the Catholic Church. Henry wanted to annul his marriage to Catherine of Aragon but the Pope refused. Therefore Henry denounced Catholicism and passed the Act of Supremacy in 1534 CE.

King Henry VIII was at odds with the pope because he wanted to get a divorce. This caused King Henry VIII to form the Church of England. This church was just like the Catholic Church, except the king of England was at its head, not the pope, and King Henry VIII could get divorced. A lot.
No one. Queen Elizabeth was the daughter of King Henry VIII. King Henry couldn't have a son, so he broke away from the Roman Catholic church to form his own church, that allowed divorces. The Church of England was what Elizabeth was born into.

Since he was forbidden under Catholic law to divorce, he broke away from the Catholic church and formed the Anglican Church, or the Church of England. Other pilgrims who had broken from the Roman Catholic Church to form other Protestant branches of Christianity journeyed to the New World (America) seeking religious freedom. King Henry the Eighth was unsatisfied with the decisions the pope wouldn't let him make, therefore forming the belief of Anglicanism.
