Socks, or maybe kneesocks, which came up to just below the knee. No tights or pantyhose yet, only adults wore stockings, which were made of silk and almost completely unavailable during the war. (Nylon had been invented, but all produced was being used to make parachutes). Leather or patent leather shoes. High waist, white "granny panties" underwear, no bikini style yet, definitely not thongs. Hats were still popular, especially when dressing up.

∙ 14y agoGirls in Bratain, Canada, America, Europe and Australia wore dresses, pinafores, leather shoes, sometimes they could wear pants or shorts for certain situtations. They could wear sneakers, sandal or boots according to the weather. In the winter they wore wool coats, fur coats, jackets, and tights with their dresses. Sometimes the American girls would copy the Hollywood stars or purchase things the stars sold.

∙ 13y agoThey would were old fashion clothes not new clean ones because of the rashioning. They would often no be able to throw clothes out because they couldn't buy news ones. If their clothes had hole or needed mending the would have to just mend them
