When choosing a college or university, make sure the institution has a regional accreditation. With a regional accreditation you can be assured the coursework and degree you complete will be recognized by all other colleges and universities as well as employers. I am disclosing the below so you do not become a victim of educational scams, and institutions that are nothing more than diploma mills, where they are eager to take your money for a degree that is worthless. There are a few different occupational therapy courses available online. One of the main ones is TherapyECU online. It is important to look for an accredited online course. It would also be good to check your local community college to see about the online classes they offer, since community colleges are often more affordable.
There are schools in Texas which offer coursework in pre-occupational therapy at the undergraduate level. To become an occupational therapist, you will need to obtain at least a master's level degree. Six Texas colleges offer such programs. They are Texas Tech University, Texas Woman's University, and four University of Texas branches.
