hi the ground wires are white the live depends on if its been wired by another but usually black or brown
power is red ground is black
The ground wire is black. The power wire is red. The speaker wires are green and yellow. The auxiliary wire is white.
power = light green ground = black
2 to each speaker, 1 ground, 1 keyed power, 1 illumination or memory.
if you go to your local car stereo shop and ask for a wiring harness for a 94 mercury topaz. the colors on there are the same as with the cables on your topaz. blue, blue and black, green, green and black, purple, purple and black, gray, gray and black. those are the colors of the cables, i don't remember what color goes to what speaker though. the color with the black line going through it is the ground. the battery wires are red, the ground wires are black, the memory wire for a stereo will be yellow.
on your car the white w/blue stripe is 12 volt power you connect it to the yellow on the jvc stereo and the yellow w/ red stripe is the 12 volt accessory connect it to the red on the jvc stereo and connect the jvc stereo ground (black) to your cars black wire on the harness
The black wire is the ground wire. The red wire is the positive wire. The green and yellow wires are the speaker wires. The white wire is the auxiliary wire.
idk exactly.. but you can look at each of your speakers and write down the color of the wire going to it.. it will be the same color wire at the connector on the dash.. so now you know ,which wires go to which speaker. when figuring out (+) and (-) , the wire with a black line on it should be the negative. now after you have all the speaker wires figured out, the only two wires left at the dash should be a red (power +) and a black one (ground)....
it is possible to do it, with my truck i ended up just pullin the dash apart and running all new wires, i didn't trust 26 year old power and ground wires.
Yes, I am told that is how you know where to connect the wires.
I've encountered that a few times...If you removed the factory stereo, and you cut the wires, you may have cut the power and ground wires at the same time, and created a short circuit. This would hae blown a fuse and will prevent the vehicle from going into gear. Check your fuses, and see how that works. you crossed some wires
Power is coming from TWO of those pins. The third is the ground, or earth. Wires are color coded. In the US white and black are the power wires, green is ground, but this varies greatly in different places, and also with older wiring. DO NOT fool with this stuff if you do not know what you are about. Deadly.
