There is no such thing as a "purebred" white cat. White and black are just colours, not breeds.

For a start, there are two genes that can make a cat white: The usual being dominant and therefore cannot be carried by a black cat, and the recessive albino.

My guess is we are only talking about the recessive allele, so we have a black cat carrying albino (Cc) and a pure albino (cc). In this case half the kittens would be white (cc) and half would be black (Cc).

Forgetting the albino gene, the black cat would not be carrying white at all (ww), the pure white cat would be dominant (WW), and all the offspring would be white (Ww).

In life I would say the purewhite cat is most likely dominant and if the black cat carries the albino allele or not it makes no difference; all offspring would be white.

What race are Arabians?

Arabian horses are bred by people all over the world. Only a purebred Arabian can be bred to another purebred to give a resulting purebred foal. the breeder or country they are bred in is secondary to the purity of bloodlines and quality of offspring produced.

Can a purebred British Shorthair have a white coat?

A purebred British shorthair can have a white coat, but it will be mixed with other colors.

Can a purebred British Shorthair be blue?

Purebred British Shorthairs can come in a range of colors, including shades of blue and grey.

How does codominance change the offsprings phenotype?

Codominance is contrary to typical mendelian genetics, in that no one allele is dominant to the other, so they are both expressed equally. The important part is that the offspring with express each allele independently, such as having spots of one color, then spots of another color, instead of blending the two colors, which would be incomplete dominance. So codominance changes the offsprings phenotype by making the offspring express both alleles equally, yet each allele's expression is separate/distinguishable, not blended.

How can a sister with the same parents have different hair colors?

Yes, this is possible. The parents may not have the same hair color as their offspring, because the offspring could have the hair color caused by a recessive allele. This allele could have been present in an ancestor, but not shown up again because its frequency is not as common as another hair color

Can a purebred British Shorthair have a cream coat and white coat?

Cream and white are common colors for British Shorthair coats.

What functions of the offspring are predicted to have yellow peas and green peas?

This is a basic Mendel cross where the master himself found out that yellow was the dominant color to green. Many years later we found out that there is another gene involved and that the colors have to do with chlorophyll - not just color. If a pure green is crossed to a purebred yellow, then all the offspring will be yellow. However they do carry the green gene since if these yellow offspring are self-fertilized, they will produce the standard 3/4 yellow and 1/4 green phenotypes.

When Mendel crossed purebred purple flowering plants PP with purebred white flowering plants pp what were the flower colors of the resulting offspring?

Let us assume that both Rr and rr produce red flowers and only rr produces white flowers. Since one parents and the offspring are white, they have rr as genotypes. In order to achieve this result, the other parent would have to haev at least one r in its genotype. Since the otehr parent is red and needs to have one r, it's genotype is Rr. In short, the parents's genotypes are Rr for the red one and rr for the white one.

When one black mice are introduced to white mice and grey mice are created what is this called?

Since grey is an intermediate color created from the parental colors black and white, this is an example of incomplete dominance. In incomplete dominance, the offspring receives an allele for color from each parent in wiich there is no complete dominance (no letter oding (allele) in itsel is not domiant or more powerful than the other), therefore the alleles are equally powerful and the colors blend to form an intermediate. fAnother example of incomplete dominance would be pink flowers resulting from parents colored red and white

Can finches cross-breed?

You can crossbreed gouldian finches, but you will devalue the purebred strain if you do. You can get some unique colors through crossbreeding, but they are not recognized coloring variations.
