fuel pump isn't sending any gas to rail /check relay first then fuel pump at pump / that should let u no whats going on
No. The fuel sending unit detects the amount of fuel in the tank ... the fuel pump actually delivers the fuel to the engine.
Remove the fuel tank and then the sending unit. The fuel pump is on the fuel sending unit bracket.
When u turn key on , you should hear a humming for a few seconds. this is the fuel pump priming (sending fuel up the line). If you don't hear it, fuel pump is not working.
The fuel pump has a check valve that holds the fuel pressure. The sending unit monitors the fuel level in the fuel tank.
The float is part of the sending unit which is attached to the fuel pump. If you are replacing the fuel pump it should be attached when you pull the pump from the tank.
It should be attached to the fuel pump assembly inside the fuel tank.
Lower the Gas tank. Remove the sending unit/fuel pump from the tank and replace the unit. The sending unit and fuel pump come together.
you have to drop the fuel tank and your fuel pump is in the tank. once you have dropped the fuel tank you must remove the fuel sending unit, the pump is attached to the sending unit.
is on the fuel pump inside of the fuel tank,,,,,,......if you lookin for the fuel temperature sending unit.
fuel pump sending unit is in the fuel tank you must lower
Need to detemine how far down stream you are getting fuel to resolve the problem. Otherwise Fuel pump, sending unit, fuel filter. CPU not sending a signal, broken wire, or bad groung some where in harness. Blown fuse to fuel pump or sending unit. That should be enough to get you started for now. In addition, it can be bleeding back into the tank, plugged fuel filter or fuel pump sock.
